One of the things you’ll notice first about Northwest Community is
the warm, welcoming atmosphere. We are proud of the strong faith
community we have and look forward to having visitors join us.
Dress is casual. We have members who like to put on their “Sunday
best” and others who feel just as comfortable coming to worship services
as a “t-shirt and jeans” kind of person.
There is nursery care provided for little ones aged 1 to 4. Children
and teens remain for the entire service, and we include a Wonder Box
experience at the beginning that engages all ages in attendance to hear a
wisdom story from different religious traditions or our UU principles.
Children and teens are invited to come forward as the storyteller opens
the Wonder Box, and they each reveal an item that will help to tell
today's tale. Music and meditation/prayer time are regular features of
our worship services, and we sing a joyful closing song to energize
ourselves to go forth and do good works in the world.

or religious education activity at this time. From 11:05-12:00 there is a
Corner Forum for adults to discuss ideas from the service, and children
and teens are supervised in a related craft or art experience. On the second Sunday of each month we offer a
Family Forum experience for children through adults that weaves together
the day's sermon lesson, community service, and learning more about
living Unitarian Universalist values in the world together, followed by
